Joris Driest (1982) studied New Media at Utrecht University, and specialized in comic theory. After an internship for Franco-Belgian publisher Dargaud/Le Lombard, he wrote his thesis on subjective narration in comics. In 2006 he helped organize the Stripdagen Haarlem, a Dutch cultural comic festival. He currently works and resides in Utrecht, and still writes articles for ZozoLala magazine, a journal devoted to comics.
