| Angee Lennard grew up in Michigan. There she spent 18 years until she headed to Chicago to study art. Somehow, while focusing on printmaking, she also became infatuated with the lives of the elderly. She read reports about nursing homes, age awareness, and long-term care culture change. Before long, she printed her first comic and began volunteer work, hosting art classes in two nursing homes. Concurrently, Angee graduated from SAIC and had a short stint as a bookbinder. However, a few years out of school, her interest in assisting elderly ladies and gents came full circle when she was hired at Norwood Crossing, a non-profit nursing home. In addition to working at the nursing home, she works at Marwen, a non-profit visual-arts program, helping youngsters make their first comics and learn to draw. She also founded a cooperative fine arts print studio, called Spudnik Press. And, of course, she diligently works on her comic book, Mossdale Estate. |
